mso-bidi-font-family:Arial'> It is
university policy that students attend every class. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Failure
to attend class will lower a student's final grade.
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> No one can expect to improve their English
if they do not come to class. If a
student is late for class 3 times, it will count as 1 absence. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> If a student is absent, they style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>MUST talk to their Department Head and obtain an excused absence form. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> That form must then be given to the
instructor.

If a student accumulates more than 11 unexcused absences in one
semester (6 times during the intersession), the student will automatically
receive an “F.” Students should check their attendance as often as possible to
avoid mistakes.

style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:160%;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"'> style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Only absences for sickness, car accidents,
interviews for military service, training for army reservists, departmental
events, and mourning will be considered with documentary evidence. Students
can get up to TWO CLASSES excused per semester within a week of the
absence. Any further excuses are up to
the instructor's discretion.
